MBC (Maskam Brewing Company) was founded in April 2016 along the R303 route between Vredendal and Lutzville. The brewery, which includes a family rastaurant, is run by Maree Botha and brews vanous craft beers. It is the first craft brewery in the Matzikama areas and brews three types of be numily Blonde Alc. Amber Ale and Lager. The brewery offers beer tasting and the beer is available on tap or by the bottle. The restaurant is a child-friendly area with a play park and a zoo to keep the young team busy.
